Plex DVR Now Offers a Traditional Grid View

Love watching TV with Plex DVR, but wish there was a grid view for checking out what’s on now? A grid view is now offered in the web version of Plex, and is coming to other platforms soon.

The change means you can use Plex as though it’s an old-school cable box, browsing through all kinds of re-runs and quickly finding out what’s on just a little later.

I prefer the screen Plex initially offered, which largely obscured channels and just showed me what’s on right now. If you’re like me simply switch to “Discover” view:

This view highlights what’s on now based on your interests, and also gives you an easy way to browse upcoming movies and sporting events you might want to record. Use whatever view works best for you!

Oh, and in case you missed it, Plex supports podcasts now, and there’s even a way to watch YouTube videos. It’s a very versatile piece of software.
